Electronics Technology Diploma (Beginning Fall 2025) (ET14-2)  Diploma

Campus Locations: Vidalia

The Electronics Technology Diploma Program is a sequence of courses designed to prepare students for entry-level positions as electronic technicians. Learning opportunities develop academic, technical, and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes a combination of electronic theory and practical applications necessary for successful employment. Program graduates are to be competent in the general areas of communications, math, and interpersonal relations. Final exams for the four (4) major electronics areas are the Electronics Systems Associate ESA-1 through ESA-4 Exams.

The standard curriculum for the Electronics Technology Diploma Program is designed for the semester system. Students may enter the program beginning any semester. The program generally takes five (5) semesters to complete. To graduate, students must earn a minimum of 59 credit hours, choosing either the Computer Electronics Field Occupation Specialization or the Industrial Controls Field Occupational Specialization.

Requirements

  • Submit a completed application;
  • Be at least 16 years of age;
  • Submit official high school/high school equivalent transcripts;
  • Submit official college transcripts, if applicable;
  • Satisfy Placement Testing requirements.
