Manufacturing & Warehouse Materials Handling GIMH 1102

This course provides an overview of manufacturing and warehouse materials handling processes. Students will learn efficient movement, storage, protection, and control of goods and products in a manufacturing facility and warehouse environment. Students will also learn the proper use of manual, semi-automated, and automated handling processes and equipment to ensure the right items get ot the right place, at the right time, safely, and cost-effectively, reducing delays and damage while boosting productivity. Note: When students turn 18 years old, they will be eligible for, and should take, the OSHA Forklift Operation Certification.
