Exploring Sociocultural Perspectives & Diversity i EDUC 2120
3 Credits(Prerequisite: Program Admission) Fundamental knowledge of understanding culture and teaching children from diverse backgrounds. Specifically, this course is designed to examine the nature and function of culture; the development of individual and group cultural identity; definitions and implications of diversity; and the influence of culture on learning, development and pedagogy. Successful completion of 10 hours of field experience is required.
