Physical Hair Services Practicum COSM 1080
3 Credits(Prerequisites: COSM 1000, COSM 1020, COSM 1030, COSM 1040) Provides laboratory experiences necessary for the development of skill levels required to be a competent cosmetologist. The allocation of time to the various phases of cosmetology is required by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology. This course includes a portion of the required hours for licensure. Topics include hair and scalp treatments; haircutting; styling; dispensary; reception; safety precautions/decontamination; and Hazardous Duty Standards Act compliance. A $30 fee is associated with this course due to the increased cost of chemicals and supplies needed to complete the requirements for the course.
