Allied Health Math (Institutional Credit Only) ALMA 1000

Prepares students in understanding the application of mathematics in their health science program courses. The topics include basic mathematics, principles of dimensional analysis, conversions between systems of measurement, weight and measurement applications, basic principles of medication administration, and identifying information needed for dosage calculations. Additionally, problem-solving strategies and critical thinking activities, and medical terms utilized in health science, will be incorporated into the course competencies.
