Commercial Truck Driving
STC’s Class A Commercial Truck Driving Program provides basic training in the principles and skills of commercial truck operations. In 2012, U.S. commercial trucks moved more than 9.4 billion tons, over two-thirds of the country’s total freight, proving that trucking remains a major force in commerce and a career with plenty of demand. CTD students receive commercial truck driving training on-site and on the road in day or evening classes over a 7½ week period.
Commercial Truck Driving graduates have worked at DOT Foods, Coastal Transport, Werner, Conway Truckload, and some are self-employed.
Immediately upon graduation, STC graduates have made between $14 and $20 per hour.
