Associate of Science in Nursing


STC’s Associate of Science in Nursing Program (ASN) is designed to produce technically-advanced, competent, and caring individuals who are prepared to practice professional nursing in a variety of healthcare settings. The curriculum will provide the student with the necessary attitude, knowledge, and skills to practice competently and safely as a beginning nurse generalist in acute, long-term, and community healthcare settings. Program graduates, who meet and fulfill exit requirements, will be eligible to apply to the Georgia Board of Nursing to write the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

STC’s ASN Program is dedicated to support the overall missions of the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) and STC to provide a well-educated, globally competitive workforce for southeastern Georgia. The primary mission of the ASN Program is to assist in meeting the increasing healthcare needs of rural Georgia.

The ASN Program’s Mission is to provide an educational environment that prepares highly trained, competent graduates to practice as registered nurses in a variety of healthcare settings.

Salary Information
Immediately upon graduation and depending on the location of employment, STC graduates will be able to make between $18 and $21.50 per hour.
