Automotive Technology

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects employment in the automotive industry will expand five percent between 2014 and 2024. Graduates of STC's Automotive Technology programs learn the technological and mechanical skills to keep today’s increasingly complex cars safely on the roads. Training includes maintenance techniques and electronic systems diagnostics and performance technology. Learn skills that will give you a competitive edge from the assembly line to the racing pits.

This is a sequence of courses designed to prepare students for careers in the automotive service and repair profession. Graduates of STC’s Automotive Technology programs leave the school with a diploma or certificate that certifies their readiness to contribute—from day one—to an array of automotive professions as entry-level technicians. The program emphasizes a combination of automotive mechanics theory and practical application necessary for successful employment.

Automotive Technology graduates may work at car dealerships, service centers, auto parts stores, or be self-employed.

Immediately upon graduation, STC graduates have made between $12 and $16 per hour.
